Chili doesn't always have to be made with beef and red kidney beans. This big-batch version uses ground pork, pinto beans and Heinz Beans for an updated twist. Serve this tummy-warming chili with our South-of-the-Border Cornbread recipe for an extra special twist. Freeze leftovers in individual containers to make future lunches and dinners easier to pull together.

2 Tbsp. oil
2 onions, chopped
1 red pepper, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
3 Tbsp. chili powder
1 Tbsp. dried oregano leaves
2 lb. (900 g) ground pork
1 can (28 fl oz/786 mL) diced tomatoes, undrained
1-1/2 cups Heinz Tomato Juice
1 can (19 fl oz/540 mL) pinto beans, rinsed
1 can (14 fl oz/398 mL) Heinz Deep-Browned Beans with Pork & Tomato Sauce
2/3 cup light sour cream
2 green onions, sliced

How do I make it ?

Step 1
Heat oil in large saucepan on medium heat. Add yellow onions and peppers; cook 7 to 10 min. or until tender, stirring frequently. Add garlic, chili powder and oregano; stir. Cook and stir 1 min.
Step 2
Add meat; cook 10 min. or until done, stirring frequently.
Step 3
Add tomatoes, tomato juice and beans; stir. Bring to boil, stirring frequently. Simmer on medium-low heat 30 min., stirring occasionally.
Step 4
Serve topped with sour cream and green onions.
