1-1/4 cups flour
1/2 tsp. Magic Baking Powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup almond butter
1/2 cup each granulated sugar and packed brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup sliced almonds

How do I make it ?

Step 1
Heat oven to 350°F.
Step 2
Combine flour, baking powder and baking soda. Beat butter, almond butter and sugars in large bowl with mixer until light and fluffy. Blend in egg and vanilla. Gradually add flour mixture, mixing well after each addition. Stir in nuts.
Step 3
Drop tablespoonfuls of dough, 1 inch apart, onto baking sheets sprayed with cooking spray. Flatten, in crisscross pattern, with tines of fork.
Step 4
Bake 12 to 15 min. or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets 3 min. Remove to wire racks; cool completely.

Plastic storage containers and resealable plastic bags help keep cookies fresh. Old-fashioned cookie tins also make perfect storage containers as long as they can be sealed tightly. Never store cookies in any kind of container until they have cooled completely.
How to Prevent the Dough from Sticking
Dip fork in additional granulated sugar before using to make the crisscross pattern in the mounds of cookie dough.
Special Extra
For stronger almond flavour, substitute almond extract for the vanilla.
