3 cooking apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced (about 4 cups)
2 cups Jet-Puffed Miniature Marshmallows
1/2 cup flour
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/4 cup cold butter, cut into small pieces

Step 1
Heat oven to 350°F.
Step 2
Place apples in 1.5-L shallow baking dish sprayed with cooking spray; top with marshmallows.
Step 3
Mix flour, sugar and nutmeg in medium bowl; cut in butter with pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle over marshmallows.
Step 4
Bake 35 to 40 min. or until apples are tender. Cool slightly.

All-purpose apples for both eating raw and cooking uses include Cortland, Granny Smith, Fuji, Empire, Jonagold, McIntosh, Pippin and Spy. Best snacking and salad apples are Gala, Golden Delicious and Red Delicious.
