Mashed potatoes are a family favourite but it's nice to jazz them up. Our Bacon-Cheddar Mashed Potatoes get extra creaminess from the Philadelphia Cream Cheese Product, and extra flavour from the bacon, cheddar and green onion topping.

3 lb. (1.4 kg) Yukon gold potatoes (about 9), peeled, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
1/2 cup Philadelphia Cream Cheese Product
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
3 slices bacon, cooked, chopped
2 green onions, sliced

Step 1
Cook potatoes in boiling water in large saucepan 15 to 20 min. or just until tender; drain.
Step 2
Return potatoes to pan; mash until smooth. Add cream cheese product and milk; mix until cream cheese is completely melted and mixture is well blended.
Step 3
Top with remaining ingredients.

Make Ahead
This delicious recipe can be prepared ahead of time. Mash the drained cooked potatoes, then mix in the cream cheese product and milk as directed. Spoon into 1.5-L casserole dish sprayed with cooking spray. Refrigerate up to 24 hours. When ready to serve, bake, uncovered, in 350°F oven 1 hour or until heated through. Top with cheddar, bacon and onions.

Season drained cooked potatoes with freshly ground black pepper before mashing.
