You'll love our Bistro Cheese Burger with Caramelized Onions! The onions are so easy to make - just simmer a sliced onion in our balsamic vinaigrette dressing until golden brown. Then, serve over juicy grilled Swiss cheeseburgers along with baby salad greens - a divine combination!

How do I make it ?
Select All
Step 1
Heat dressing in medium nonstick skillet on medium heat. Add onions; simmer on medium-low heat 30 min. or until onions are very tender and dark golden brown, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat.
Step 2
Heat barbecue to medium-high heat. Shape meat into 4 (1/2-inch-thick) patties. Grill 6 to 7 min. on each side or until done (160°F), brushing with barbecue sauce for the last 5 min.
Step 3
Top burgers with Kraft Singles. Add buns, cut sides down, to barbecue. Grill 1 min. or until cheese is melted and buns are lightly toasted.
Step 4
Place lettuce on bottom halves of buns; top with cheeseburgers and caramelized onions. Cover with tops of buns.
Kraft Kitchen Tips!
How to Prevent the Cooked Burgers from Puffing Up
Use 2 knuckles to make shallow depression in centre of each meat patty before grilling. This will help prevent the burgers from puffing up as they cook.
Keeping it Safe
Always wash hands after handling raw meat. Never place cooked food on the same platter that the raw food was placed on. Use clean plates for cooked meats.
