How do I make it ?
Prepare cake batter as directed on package. Pour 1 cup batter into greased 2-cup ovenproof glass bowl. Pour remaining batter into greased foil-lined 13x9-inch baking dish. Bake both cakes 25 to 30 min. or until toothpick inserted in centres comes out clean. Cool completely.
Invert 13x9-inch cake onto platter. Carefully remove pan. Reserve 1/2 cup Cool Whip for later use. Stir 5 drops food colouring into remaining Cool Whip; spread onto 13x9-inch cake.
Invert round cake onto separate plate; spread with reserved Cool Whip. Place on top of 13x9-inch cake; decorate with decorating gel as shown in photo to resemble soccer ball. Mix remaining food colouring and water. Add to coconut in medium bowl; toss until evenly coated. Sprinkle onto 13x9-inch cake.
Kraft Kitchen Tips!
Lining the baking dish with foil makes for easy cleanup and easy removal of the cake from the baking dish. When lining the dish, allow 3 inches of the foil to extend over each side of dish to use as handles when removing the cake from the dish.
How to Frost a Cake
If the cake is very soft and crumbly, apply a “crumb coating” to prevent cake crumbs from mixing with the frosting. Spread a thin layer of frosting over the entire cake, then let stand 5 to 10 min. or until frosting is firm. Spread remaining frosting over cake.
Make sure cakes are completely cooled before frosting. A warm cake can cause the frosting to soften or melt.
How to Store
Keep frosted cake refrigerated.
