1-1/3 cups hot water
2 tsp. Maxwell House Instant Coffee Original Roast, divided
1 pkg. (2-layer size) chocolate cake mix
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
3 eggs
1 cup mashed fully ripe bananas (about 3)
2 Tbsp. milk
3 oz. Baker's Semi-Sweet Chocolate
1 pkg. (250 g) Philadelphia Brick Cream Cheese, softened
2 cups icing sugar
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Step 1
Heat oven to 350°F.
Step 2
Grease and flour 2 (9-inch) round pans; cover bottoms of prepared pans with waxed paper. Add hot water to 1 tsp. coffee granules in medium bowl; stir until dissolved. Cool.
Step 3
Combine cake mix and cocoa powder in large bowl. Add eggs, bananas and dissolved coffee; beat with mixer until blended. Pour evenly into prepared pans.
Step 4
Bake 30 to 35 min. or until toothpick inserted in centres comes out clean. Cool 10 min. Remove cake layers from pans to wire racks. Immediately remove waxed paper. Cool cakes completely.
Step 5
Heat milk just until warmed. Add remaining coffee granules; stir until dissolved. Melt semi-sweet chocolate as directed on package. Beat cream cheese in medium bowl with mixer until creamy. Add dissolved coffee; beat 2 min. Blend in melted chocolate. Gradually add icing sugar, mixing well after each addition.
Step 6
Place 1 cake layer on plate; spread with 1 cup icing. Cover with remaining cake layer. Frost top and side of cake with remaining icing. Press nuts into icing on side of cake.

Storage Know-How
Keep iced cake refrigerated. Insert toothpicks into top of cake, then cover loosely with plastic wrap. The toothpicks will keep the plastic wrap off the surface of the cake preventing it from sticking to the icing.

Special Extra
Garnish iced cake with chocolate curls before serving. To make the curls, microwave additional 1 oz. semi-sweet chocolate on HIGH for just a few seconds to slightly warm the chocolate. Holding the chocolate piece firmly in your hand, carefully pull a vegetable peeler over the flat bottom of the chocolate. Use a toothpick to lift the curls and place them on the iced cake.
