Making this Fall classic is simplicity on a stick! And for chocolate lovers, these chocolate-coated apples are far more rewarding than bobbing for apples in a tub of water.

6 small to medium Gala apples, well chilled
2 pkg. (225 g each) Baker's Semi-Sweet Chocolate, broken into small pieces
1 Tbsp. oil
1/2 cup chopped pecans

How do I make it ?
Wash apples, then dry completely. (Note: In order for the chocolate to stick to the apples, the apples need to be well chilled before washing, drying and dipping in the melted chocolate.)
Cover plate with parchment; spray with cooking spray. Insert wooden pop stick into stem end of each apple.
Melt chocolate in small microwaveable bowl following microwaving directions on package. Stir in oil.
Dip bottom half of each apple in chocolate, turning to evenly coat bottom of apple with chocolate. Sprinkle nuts over chocolate. Place on prepared plate.
Refrigerate 20 min. or until chocolate is firm. Cut each apple in quarters to serve.

Prepare using Granny Smith apples, or substituting shredded sweetened coconut or chopped dry roasted peanuts for the pecans.
Look for purchase wooden pop sticks at your favourite craft store.
