Rolling the chocolate cookie dough in sugar gives them an enticing crunch and sparkle. If you like rich chocolaty flavour and gooey fillings, you're sure to love these easy-to-make cookies.

3/4 cup butter
4 oz. (2/3 of 170-g pkg.) Baker's Premium 70% Cacao Dark Chocolate, broken into small pieces
2 cups granulated sugar, divided
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2-1/2 cups flour
2/3 cup Kraft Smooth Peanut Butter
1/3 cup icing sugar

Step 1
Microwave butter and chocolate in large microwaveable bowl on HIGH 2 min. or until butter is melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted and mixture is well blended. Add 1-3/4 cups granulated sugar; mix well. Blend in eggs and vanilla. Add flour; mix well.
Step 2
Refrigerate 1 hour.
Step 3
Heat oven to 350°F. Roll dough into 64 (1-inch) balls; roll balls in remaining sugar. Place 2 inches apart, on parchment-covered baking sheets.
Step 4
Bake 8 min. or just until centres of cookies are set. (Do not overbake.) Cool on baking sheets 2 min. Press indentation into centre of each cookie. Remove to wire racks; cool completely.
Step 5
Mix peanut butter and icing sugar in medium bowl until blended. Pipe or spoon filling into indentations in cookies.
