1 pkg. (200g) Mr. Christie's Chocolate Wafers, finely crushed
1-1/2 cups sugar, divided
1/3 cup butter or margarine, melted
2 oz. Baker's Semi-Sweet Chocolate, chopped and melted
2 Tbsp. sour cream
1 pkg. (85g) Jell-O Strawberry Jelly Powder
1 env. (1 Tbsp.) unflavoured gelatine
3/4 cup water
1 tsp. vanilla
4 oz. Baker's Semi-Sweet Chocolate, chopped
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine

Step 1
Combine chocolate wafer crumbs, 1/2 cup sugar and melted butter. Add melted chocolate and sour cream; stir into crumbs. Press onto bottom of 9-inch square baking pan; chill.
Step 2
Dissolve jelly powder in 3/4 cup boiling water; stir in 1/2 cup cold water. Pour over crumb layer; refrigerate until set.
Step 3
Combine gelatin and 1 cup sugar in saucepan. Add water and heat, stirring constantly, until sugar is dissolved. Bring to a boil and boil gently, uncovered without stirring, for 6 minutes. Remove from heat, add vanilla and cool slightly. Beat until thick and creamy, about 5 minutes. Spread evenly over strawberry layer; refrigerate until set.
Step 4
Melt chocolate with butter and spread over top; cool.

How to
Cut carefully through chocolate, then through remaining layers. Do not press down into layers but use a sawing action to cut.
