2 Tbsp. corn starch
1/2 tsp. pepper
4 cod fillets (1 lb./450 g)
1-1/2 cups oil
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 tsp. grated gingerroot
1/2 cup 25%-less-sodium chicken broth
1 Tbsp. reduced-sodium soy sauce
1 Tbsp. Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce
1/2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. wasabi paste

Step 1
Combine corn starch and pepper in pie plate. Dip fish, 1 fillet at a time, into corn starch mixture, turning to evenly coat both sides of each fillet with corn starch mixture.
Step 2
Heat oil in Dutch oven or large deep skillet on medium-high heat. Add fish; cook 4 to 5 min. on each side or until fish is golden brown on both sides and flakes easily with fork. Remove fish from pan; cover to keep warm.
Step 3
Discard all but 1 Tbsp. oil from pan. Add garlic and ginger to remaining oil in pan; cook and stir 2 min. Add chicken broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce and sugar; mix well. Bring to boil; cook and stir 1 to 2 min. or until slightly thickened. Remove from heat; stir in wasabi paste.
Step 4
Serve fish topped with sauce.
