5 cups prepared blackberries (buy about 7 cups blackberries)
1 pkg. Certo Pectin Crystals
7 cups sugar

Step 1
Crush blackberries, one layer at a time. Measure exactly 5 cups prepared blackberries into large saucepan. Add pectin crystals; mix well.
Step 2
Bring to full rolling boil on high heat. Add sugar; mix well. Return to full rolling boil; cook 1 min., stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir and skim foam for 5 min. to prevent fruit from floating to surface.
Step 3
Pour immediately into warm sterilized jars, filling to within 1/4 inch of rims. Cover with lids. Let stand at room temperature 24 hours or until set.

Keeping it Safe
Cooked jam may be stored at room temperature, unopened, for up to 1 year. Once opened, refrigerate jam and use within 3 weeks.
