Cheesy baked lasagna - layers of tomato sauce, ground beef and cheese. This seems like a traditional lasagna, until you realize that the noodles have been replaced by crackers!

1 can tomato paste

1 tsp. dried oregano leaves

32 whole Premium Plus Salted Crackers

1 cup grated Cracker Barrel Mozzarella Cheese

1 cup creamed cottage cheese

How do I make it ?

Step 1
BROWN meat and onion in frying pan. Drain off fat.
Step 2
STIR in tomato paste, water, oregano, salt, garlic powder and pepper. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
Step 3
LAYER 16 crackers in greased 9-inch (2.5L/23cm) square pan. Cover with half meat mixture.
Step 4
SPRINKLE with half Mozzarella cheese.
Step 5
COMBINE cottage cheese, egg and Parmesan cheese. Spoon half over cheese.
Step 6
LAYER remaining crackers over cottage cheese.
Step 7
SPREAD with remaining cottage cheese, then meat mixture, then remaining Mozzarella cheese.
