This Creamy Green Bean and Mushroom Gratin is an updated version that's sure to please even the traditional die-hard green bean casserole lovers. Tender beans and flavourful mushrooms in a cream cheese sauce are topped with crisp, buttery, cheesy bread crumbs in this ultimate festive side dish.

1 lb. (450 g) fresh green beans, trimmed, cut into 1-inch lengths
2 Tbsp. Kraft Extra Virgin Olive Oil Tuscan Italian Dressing
1/2 lb. (225 g) sliced fresh mushrooms
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup (1/2 of 227-g tub) Philadelphia Herb & Garlic Light Cream Cheese Product
1/4 cup milk
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1-1/2 cups fresh bread crumbs
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup Kraft 100% Parmesan Aged Grated Cheese
2 Tbsp. butter, melted

How do I make it ?
Heat oven to 350°F.
Cook beans in boiling water in saucepan 3 min.; drain.
Heat dressing in large skillet on medium-high heat. Add mushrooms and garlic; cook 3 min. or until mushrooms are tender, stirring frequently. Remove from heat.
Whisk cream cheese product, milk and pepper until blended. Add to mushroom mixture along with the beans; mix lightly.
Spoon into 2-L casserole dish sprayed with cooking spray.
Combine remaining ingredients; sprinkle over bean mixture.
Bake 30 min. or until bean mixture is heated through and bread crumb topping is golden brown.

Substitute fresh asparagus spears for the green beans, and reduce the cooking time for the asparagus in the boiling water to 1 min.
