How to Toast and Grind Cumin Seed
Heat small nonstick skillet on medium heat. For 1 tsp. ground seed, add 2 Tbsp. cumin seed to skillet; cook and stir 3 to 4 min. or until seed is darkened and aromatic. Cool. Grind seed in a spice or coffee grinder. Or, place in resealable bag and crush with rolling pin. Store in airtight jar or container at room temperature until ready to use.
