220 g spaghetti, uncooked
2 lb. (900 g) fresh hard-shell clams, cleaned
1/2 cup dry white wine
1/2 cup water
3 cloves garlic, minced
125 g (1/2 of 250-g pkg.) Philadelphia Light Brick Cream Cheese Spread, cubed
2 Tbsp. butter
1 cup Kraft 100% Parmesan Shredded Cheese
2 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley

Step 1
Cook spaghetti in saucepan as directed on package, omitting salt.
Step 2
Meanwhile, place clams in separate large saucepan. Add wine and water; cover. Bring to boil; simmer on medium-low heat 5 to 7 min. or until clams open. Use slotted spoon to transfer opened clams to bowl; cover to keep warm. Remove and discard any unopened clams.
Step 3
Pour clam cooking liquid into heatproof bowl, being careful to not pour any grit from bottom of pan into bowl. Rinse saucepan to remove any grit. Return cooking liquid to saucepan. Add garlic; bring to boil. Cook 3 min. or until liquid is reduced to 1 cup. Add cream cheese and butter; cook on medium-low heat 2 to 3 min. or until melted, stirring constantly. Add Parmesan; cook and stir 1 to 2 min. or until melted.
Step 4
Drain spaghetti. Add to cream cheese sauce; toss until evenly coated. Sprinkle with parsley. Top with clams.

How to Clean Fresh Clams
Discard any clams with chipped or cracked shells. Gently tap any clams with open shells; discard clams that do not close their shells. Scrub remaining clams; place in large bowl. Add enough water to completely cover clams. Let stand 30 min. to remove sand from inside shells. Remove clams from water, leaving any grit behind. Cook as directed.

Serve with your favourite hot steamed fresh vegetable, such as broccoli or green beans, to round out the meal.
