1 cup Kraft Brown Sugar BBQ Sauce

1/2 cup pineapple juice

2 Tbsp. oil

1 Tbsp. minced gingerroot

1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon

1-1/2 lb. (675 g) frozen uncooked cleaned (with tails left on) large shrimp

8 fresh pineapple slices (1/2 inch thick), cut into wedges

How do I make it ?

Step 1
Heat barbecue to medium heat.
Step 2
Combine first 6 ingredients. Reserve 1 cup of the barbecue sauce mixture for serving with the kabobs.
Step 3
Thread shrimp onto 8 skewers; brush with some of the remaining barbecue sauce mixture. Thread pineapple onto 4 additional skewers.
Step 4
Grill shrimp 5 min.; turn. Add pineapple skewers to barbecue. Grill 5 to 7 min. or until shrimp turn pink, turning pineapple after 4 min. and brushing shrimp and pineapple with remaining barbecue sauce mixture for the last 2 min.
Step 5
Heat reserved barbecue sauce mixture. Serve with the shrimp and pineapple.

Substitute
Substitute 1/4 tsp. ground ginger for the minced fresh gingerroot.
Note
If using wooden skewers, soak skewers in water for 30 min. before using to assemble kabobs to prevent them from burning on the barbecue.
How to Prevent Food From Sticking to the Barbecue
To prevent food from sticking to the barbecue, lightly brush the barbecue grate with vegetable oil before preheating the barbecue. Or, spray the cold barbecue grate with cooking spray.
