1 frozen whole turkey (12 lb./5.4 kg), thawed
1/4 cup Kraft Zesty Italian Dressing
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
3 cups water

Step 1
Heat barbecue to medium-high heat.
Step 2
Remove neck and giblets from turkey. Pat turkey dry with paper towels. Tuck wings under the back, then place turkey, breast side up, on roasting rack in large disposable aluminum foil pan.
Step 3
Brush turkey with dressing; season with salt and pepper. Place pan on grate of barbecue. Add water to pan, then close lid of barbecue.
Step 4
Grill turkey 2 to 2-1/2 hours or until done, adding more water to pan as needed to prevent drippings from burning and to have enough liquid remaining in the pan after turkey is cooked for use in making gravy. Remove turkey from barbecue; let stand 15 to 20 min. before carving. Meanwhile, use pan drippings to make gravy, if desired.

Thaw turkey completely before grilling. To thaw, place turkey on tray in refrigerator. Refrigerate until thawed, allowing 24 hours of thawing time for every 4 lb. (1.8 kg) of turkey.

For extra flavour, stuff the turkey cavity with a peeled onion, celery stalks, lemon slices and/or fresh herb bundles before grilling.

Note
A 12-lb./5.4-kg turkey takes about 2-1/2 hours to cook on the barbecue. Make sure that you have enough gas in the tank before the turkey is ready to be grilled. A full tank usually lasts about 18 hours.
