1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour

3/4 cup finely chopped hazelnuts

2/3 cup packed brown sugar

1 Tbsp. Magic Baking Powder

1/2 tsp. salt

1 3/4 cups milk

1 egg

1/3 cup butter or margarine, melted
TOPPING:

1/4 cup finely chopped hazelnuts

2 Tbsp. brown sugar

1 tsp. cinnamon

How do I make it ?

Step 1
GREASE 12 large muffin tins or line with paper baking cups.
Step 2
MIX flours, chopped hazelnuts, brown sugar, baking powder and salt in large bowl.
Step 3
WHISK together milk, egg and butter.
Step 4
MIX hazelnuts, brown sugar and cinnamon for topping.
Step 5
STIR liquid mixture into dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened. Spoon into muffin cups, filling each to the top. Sprinkle topping mixture over each, pressing lightly into batter.
Step 6
BAKE at 400°F (200°C) for about 20 minutes or until firm to the touch. Cool in pan 5 minutes; remove muffins and cool on rack. Store in airtight container.
