1 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
2 onions, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tsp. each dried basil, oregano and thyme leaves
1 lb. (450 g) extra-lean ground beef
1/2 lb. (225 g) lean ground pork
4 cups Heinz Tomato Juice
1 bottle (455 mL) Heinz Chili Sauce Chunky with Sweet Peppers
1 can (5.5 fl oz/156 mL) tomato paste
1 Tbsp. Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce
12 oven-ready lasagna noodles
2-1/4 cups Cracker Barrel Shredded Part Skim Mozzarella Cheese

How do I make it ?

Step 1
Heat oven to 350ºF.
Step 2
Heat oil in large skillet on medium heat. Add onions, peppers, garlic and herbs; cook 5 to 8 min. or until vegetables are softened, stirring frequently.
Step 3
Add meat; cook 10 min. or until done, stirring frequently. Add tomato juice, chili sauce, tomato paste and Worcestershire sauce; mix well. Bring to boil, stirring occasionally; simmer on medium-low heat 15 min., stirring occasionally.
Step 4
Spread 1/4 of the meat sauce onto bottom of 13x9-inch baking dish sprayed with cooking spray. Top with 1/3 each of the noodles, remaining meat sauce and cheese. Repeat layers twice; cover.
Step 5
Bake 1 hour or until heated through, uncovering after 45 min. Let stand 15 min. before cutting to serve.

How to Prevent the Foil from Sticking to the Melted Cheese
Spray foil with cooking spray before placing, sprayed side down, over the unbaked lasagna. This will help prevent the foil from sticking to the melted cheese on top of the baked lasagna.
