1 navel orange, sectioned
1/4 cup slivered almonds

After removing and discarding the stems, you can toss the leaves with your favourite salad dressing and let them stand for 15 min. to soften (as directed in this delicious salad). Or, you can cut the leaves into thin shreds, or massage the uncut leaves with your hands, to tenderize them before using as desired.
