1/4 cup oil, divided
2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
1 small onion, sliced
4-1/2 cups frozen shredded hashbrowns
3/4 cup chili (1/2 of 425-g can)
1/3 cup salsa
85 g deli Black Forest ham, chopped
60 g Velveeta Process Cheese Product, cut into 1/2-inch cubes

Step 1
Heat 1 Tbsp. oil in large cast-iron skillet on medium-high heat. Add mushrooms and onions; cook 5 min. or until mushrooms are tender, stirring frequently. Spoon mushroom mixture into bowl; cover to keep warm.
Step 2
Heat oven to 375°F. Heat 2 Tbsp. of the remaining oil in same skillet. Add hashbrowns; cook 5 to 7 min. on each side or until golden brown on both sides, drizzling with remaining oil just before turning the hashbrowns over. Remove from heat.
Step 3
Spread chili, then salsa over hashbrowns; top with mushroom mixture, ham and Velveeta.
Step 4
Bake 10 min. or until toppings are heated through and Velveeta is melted.

How to Store and Use the Leftover Canned Chili
Refrigerate the leftover chili in airtight container up to 2 days, or freeze up to 4 weeks. For a quick taco salad, reheat chili as directed on can. Spoon over torn or shredded lettuce; top with salsa, a drizzle of your favourite Kraft Dressing, crushed tortilla chips and your favourite variety of Kraft Shredded Cheese.
