115 g thick-cut bacon, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
3 garlic cloves, minced
3 lb. (1.4 kg) mussels, cleaned, scrubbed with beards removed
1 cup dry white wine
1 jar (650 mL) Classico di Piemonte Red Wine & Herb Pasta Sauce
2 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley

Step 1
Cook and stir bacon in large deep skillet on medium-high heat until crisp, adding garlic for the last minute. Remove bacon from skillet with slotted spoon; drain on paper towels. Discard all but 1 Tbsp. drippings from skillet.
Step 2
Add mussels and wine to reserved drippings; stir. Cover; cook 3 min. or until mussels are opened. Remove and discard any unopened mussels.
Step 3
Add pasta sauce and parsley to mussels in skillet; stir. Cook on medium-low heat 3 to 5 min. or until heated through, stirring occasionally.
