1-1/2 cups prepared raspberries (buy about 2 cups raspberries)
2 cups prepared pears (buy about 1 lb./450 g ripe pears)
4-1/2 cups sugar
3/4 cup water
1 box Certo Pectin Crystals

Step 1
Crush raspberries, one layer at a time. Measure exactly 1-1/2 cups prepared raspberries into large bowl. Peel and finely chop pears. Measure exactly 2 cups prepared pears into bowl with raspberries. Add sugar; mix well. Let stand 10 min., stirring occasionally.
Step 2
Combine water and pectin crystals in small saucepan. Bring to boil on high heat; cook 1 min., stirring constantly. Add to fruit mixture; stir 3 min. or until most the sugar is dissolved and no longer grainy. (A few sugar crystals may remain.)
Step 3
Fill all containers immediately to within 1/4 inch of tops. Cover with lids. Let stand at room temperature 24 hours or until set.

How to Accurately Measure the Sugar
To ensure accuracy of the sugar measure when preparing jams or jellies, use a dry measuring cup to measure the sugar, then place all the measured sugar in a separate bowl before adding it to the fruit mixture in bowl.
