4 cups finely chopped pitted sweet cherries

2 Tbsp. lemon juice

3 cups sugar

1 box Certo Light Pectin Crystals

How do I make it ?

Step 1
MEASURE prepared cherries into a large bowl. Add lemon juice.
Step 2
MEASURE sugar and set aside.
Step 3
COMBINE fruit pectin crystals with 1/4 cup of the measured sugar.
Step 4
ADD pectin mixture to fruit, mixing well. Let stand for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 5
STIR in remaining sugar and continue stirring for 3 minutes until most of the sugar has dissolved.
Step 6
POUR into clean jars or plastic freezer containers. Cover with tight lids and let stand at room temperature until set (may take up to 24 hours).
Step 7
STORE in freezer. If used within 3 weeks, jam may be stored in refrigerator.
