2 can (14oz/398mL each) peach halves in light syrup
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 tsp. corn starch
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
3/4 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 Tbsp. granulated sugar
1 Tbsp. Magic Baking Powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 cup butter or margarine
3/4 cup milk or cream
3 cups low fat yogurt
2 Tbsp. granulated sugar
1 tsp. grated lemon rind

Step 1
DRAIN peaches well; reserving 2 Tbsp (30mL) juice.
Step 2
ARRANGE halves, cut side down, in shallow 8-inch (2L/20cm) baking dish.
Step 3
STIR together sugar and corn starch and sprinkle over top.
Step 4
STIR together lemon juice and reserved juice from peaches; pour over top.
Step 1
STIR together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and cinnamon.
Step 2
CUT in butter until mixture resembles coarse oatmeal.
Step 3
STIR enough milk into flour mixture to make soft dough, stirring only until just blended.
Step 4
SPOON topping into 8 rough dollops no thicker than 1/2-inch.
Step 5
ARRANGE over fruit, overlapping slightly if necessary.
Step 6
BAKE at 375°F (190°C) for 35 to 45 minutes or until topping is browned and fruit juices bubble thickly up around it.
Step 7
SERVE warm with cream or yogurt.
