How do I make it ?
Heat oven to 375°F.
Melt butter in large saucepan on low heat. Add flour; mix well. Cook 2 min. or until hot and bubbly, stirring constantly.
Whisk milk gradually into butter mixture; cook on medium heat 5 min. or until sauce comes to boil and thickens, stirring constantly. Add cream cheese product; cook and stir 2 to 3 min. or until completely melted. Remove from heat.
Layer half each of the potatoes, cream cheese sauce and cheddar in shallow 2-L casserole dish sprayed with cooking spray. Repeat layers; cover.
Bake 1 hour 20 min. or until potatoes are tender, and sauce is hot and bubbly, uncovering after 50 min.

For more kick, sprinkle 2 Tbsp. of your favourite chopped hot peppers over first layer of cream cheese sauce in prepared casserole dish.
Serve with grilled steak or pork chops.
