Step 1
Heat oven to 350ºF.
Step 2
Combine first 5 ingredients. Whisk eggs and oil in large bowl until blended. Add sugar; mix well. Stir in pumpkin. Gradually add flour mixture, mixing well after each addition. Stir in nuts.
Step 3
Pour into greased and floured 9-inch square pan.
Step 4
Bake 30 to 35 min. or until toothpick inserted in centre comes out clean. Cool cake in pan 10 min. Loosen cake from sides of pan with knife. Invert cake onto wire rack; gently remove pan. Cool cake completely.
Step 5
Transfer cake to plate. Spread frosting onto top and sides of cake.
