4 pears, peeled, sliced
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1 pkg. (85 g) Jell-O Lemon Jelly Powder
2 Tbsp. water
1/2 cup crushed pecan shortbread cookies
1/4 cup quick-cooking oats
1/4 cup chopped pecans
2 Tbsp. butter, melted

Step 1
Combine fruit in large bowl. Add dry jelly powder and water; toss to evenly coat fruit. Spoon into 8-inch-square microwaveable dish.
Step 2
Mix remaining ingredients; sprinkle over fruit mixture.
Step 3
Microwave on HIGH 16 to 18 min. or until streusel topping is lightly browned, and fruit mixture is hot and bubbly. Cool slightly.

How to Ripen Pears
Pears do not ripen well on the tree so they are picked when mature but not yet ripe. To ripen fresh pears at home, place in paper bag, fold over the top and keep at room temperature. In one to three days, the pears should be ripe. To test for ripeness, apply gentle thumb pressure to base of stem. If the fruit yields slightly, the pear is ripe and juicy. Use immediately or refrigerate.
