Thanksgiving leftovers have never been so appealing. These crisp but fluffy waffles are stuffed with leftover roasted turkey and cheddar cheese, then served topped with hot gravy for this fun dinnertime take on a favourite breakfast food.

1-2/3 cups flour
1-1/2 cups Cracker Barrel Shredded Double Cheddar Cheese
2 tsp. Magic Baking Powder
2 tsp. granulated sugar
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. poultry seasoning
1 egg
3/4 cup milk
3/4 cup plain low fat yogurt
1 Tbsp. butter, melted
1-1/2 cups chopped leftover roasted turkey
1 cup hot turkey gravy

How do I make it ?

Step 1
Spray electric waffle iron with cooking spray. Heat iron to medium heat. Combine first 6 ingredients in large bowl.
Step 2
Whisk egg, milk, yogurt and butter until blended. Add to flour mixture; stir just until blended. (Do not overmix.) Stir in turkey.
Step 3
Spoon amount of batter directed by manufacturer onto grids of waffle iron. Close lid quickly. (Do not open until waffle is done.) Cook according to manufacturer's directions. When done, lift waffle off grid with fork. Repeat with remaining batter. Keep warm until ready to serve. (See tip.)
Step 4
Serve waffles topped with gravy.

How to Keep the Waffles Warm
Place waffles in covered pan in 250ºF oven to keep warm until ready to serve.
