3 Tbsp. fresh lime juice
1 tsp. dill weed
1 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. olive oil
5 cloves garlic, minced, divided
18 large sea scallops (about 1-1/2 lb./675 g), cleaned
9 bacon slices, cut crosswise in half
2 large onions, thinly sliced
1 tub (227 g) Philadelphia Cream Cheese Product
1 tsp. paprika
2 Tbsp. milk
1 Tbsp. hot pepper sauce

How do I make it ?
Mix lime juice, dill weed, pepper, oil and 1 Tbsp. garlic until blended. Pour over scallops in shallow dish; stir gently to evenly coat scallops with lime juice mixture.
Refrigerate 30 min.
Heat barbecue to medium heat. Wrap 1 bacon piece around each scallop; secure with wooden toothpick.
Cook onions in large skillet on medium heat 20 min. or until caramelized. Meanwhile grill scallops 15 min. or until scallops are opaque and bacon is crisp, turning frequently. Remove and discard toothpicks.
Cook cream cheese product, paprika, milk, hot pepper sauce and remaining garlic in saucepan on medium heat 3 to 5 min. or until cream cheese is completely melted and sauce is heated through, stirring constantly.
Spoon onions onto platter; top with scallops and cream cheese sauce.

For best results, prepare recipe using Vidalia onions or another variety of sweet onions since they will brown and caramelize faster than yellow or white onions do.
How to Clean the Scallops
Rinse scallops under cold water, then remove small adductor muscle attached to outside of each scallop. Pat scallops dry with paper towels before cooking as directed.
