Meatballs are always a hit as an appetizer and these Spiced Chicken Meatballs with Yogurt Sauce are sure to please. This is one of those recipes that's greater than the sum of its parts. Juicy chicken combined with turmeric, cumin and fresh gingerroot come together into a delicious and wonderfully aromatic appetizer that's oh so easy to throw together. And the creamy dip adds the perfect finishing touch!

1 lb. (450 g) ground chicken
1/4 cup dry bread crumbs
1/4 cup finely chopped red onions
2 tsp. Heinz Dijon Mustard
1 tsp. grated gingerroot
1/2 tsp. ground cumin
1/3 cup Heinz [Seriously] Good Mayonnaise, divided
3/4 tsp. ground turmeric, divided
1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup plain low fat yogurt
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 tsp. hot pepper sauce
1 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley

How do I make it ?
Heat oven to 400°F.
Cover rimmed baking sheet with foil; spray with cooking spray.
Mix chicken, bread crumbs, onions, mustard, ginger, cumin, 2 Tbsp. mayonnaise, 1/2 tsp. turmeric and egg just until blended.
Shape into 20 (1-1/2 inch meatballs); place on prepared baking sheet.
Bake 20 min. or until done (160°F). Meanwhile, combine yogurt, garlic and hot pepper sauce with remaining mayonnaise and turmeric.
Sprinkle meatballs and yogurt sauce with parsley before serving.

The chicken mixture can be shaped into meatballs ahead of time. The mayonnaise mixture can also be prepared ahead of time. Refrigerate both, in separate containers, up to 8 hours before baking the meatballs as directed.
Make it Easy
Moisten your hands slightly with water before using to shape the chicken mixture into the meatballs to help prevent the chicken mixture from sticking to your hands.
