1 large onion, chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
87 g (1/2 of 175-g pkg.) ham steak, diced
2-1/2 cups water
1-1/2 cups 25%-less-sodium chicken broth
3/4 cup green split peas
1/2 cup Kraft 100% Parmesan Shaved Cheese
1/2 cup croutons

Step 1
Heat oil in large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add onions and garlic; cook, stirring frequently, 3 min. or until crisp-tender. Add ham steak and cook 2 min. Add water, broth and peas. Bring to a boil and simmer, covered, 1 hour or until peas are tender.
Step 2
Serve sprinkled with cheese and croutons.
