3 Tbsp. butter
1 clove garlic, minced
3 Tbsp. flour
1-1/2 cups milk
2 cups P'tit Québec Shredded Four Cheese Blend, divided
Melt butter in medium saucepan on medium heat. Add garlic; cook and stir 30 sec. Add flour; cook and stir 1 min. Gradually add milk, mixing well after each addition. Bring to boil; cook 2 to 4 min. or until thickened, stirring constantly.
Stir in 1-1/2 cups cheese; cook on medium-low heat 1 min. or until melted, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add dry seasonings and syrup; mix well. Remove from heat.
Layer half each of the the potatoes and cheese sauce in shallow 2-L casserole dish sprayed with cooking spray. Repeat layers. Sprinkle with remaining cheese; cover.
Bake 1 hour or until potatoes are tender and top is golden brown, uncovering after 40 min.
Kraft Kitchen Tips!
Cut 4 green onions into thin slices. Reserve 2 Tbsp.onions; toss potatoes with remaining onions before layering in prepared casserole dish as directed. Sprinkle with remaining green onions before serving.
Serve with grilled beef steaks or pork chops.
