You may not be used to eating rainbow chard as a raw veggie, but once you try this slaw-like jewel-toned salad, you're sure to add it to your list of new go-to vegetables.

1/2 lb. (225 g) rainbow Swiss chard, rinsed, trimmed
2 cups tightly packed baby spinach leaves
2 cups shredded purple cabbage
1 cup shredded carrots
1 can (19 fl oz/540 mL) chickpeas (garbanzo beans), rinsed
1/2 cup Kraft Italian Zesty Lime Dressing
1/2 cup pecan halves, toasted

Step 1
Stack chard leaves; fold lengthwise in half. Cut leaves, then stems crosswise into thin slices. Place in large bowl.
Step 2
Add all remaining ingredients except dressing and nuts; mix lightly.
Step 3
Toss with dressing just before serving; top with nuts.

Special Extra
Add 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese to salad just before serving.
The colours of this salad bleed together if they sit for too long, so toss and serve immediately for the prettiest effect.
