60 vanilla wafers, finely crushed (about 1-1/2 cups)
1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
1/3 cup butter, melted
3 bananas
2 pkg. (4-serving size each) Jell-O Vanilla Instant Pudding
3 cups cold milk
2-1/2 cups thawed Cool Whip Whipped Topping, divided

Step 1
Heat oven to 325ºF.
Step 2
Combine wafer crumbs, nuts and butter in 13x9-inch baking dish; press onto bottom of dish. Bake 8 min. Cool 10 min.
Step 3
Slice bananas; spread over crust. Beat pudding mixes and milk with whisk 2 min.; spread 2 cups pudding over bananas.
Step 4
Stir 1 cup Cool Whip into remaining pudding; spread over dessert. Cover with remaining Cool Whip. Refrigerate 3 hours or until firm before cutting into bars.

Toasting nuts not only gives them a pleasing golden colour but also intensifies their flavour and adds crunch. To easily toast nuts, spread them into a single layer in shallow pan. Bake in 350°F oven 8 to 10 min. or until lightly toasted, stirring occasionally.

Garnish dessert with additional sliced bananas and chopped pecans just before serving.
