4 medium apples, peeled and sliced, about 4 cups/1L
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup margarine, softened
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 cup finely-rolled Premium Plus Salted Crackers, (about 25 crackers)
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1 tsp. Magic Baking Powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 cup milk

Step 1
COMBINE apple slices and granulated sugar and spoon into greased 8-inch (2L/20cm) square pan. Set aside.
Step 2
CREAM margarine and brown sugar. Beat in egg.
Step 3
COMBINE cracker crumbs, flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Add to creamed mixture with milk, beating until well blended.
Step 4
SPREAD over apples in pan.
Step 5
BAKE at 350°F (180°C) for about 35 minutes. Serve warm, apple side up.
