1-3/4 cups flour
1-1/4 tsp. Magic Baking Powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
3/4 cup milk
1-1/2 tsp. vanilla
6 oz. (3/4 of 225-g pkg) Baker's Semi-Sweet Chocolate, coarsely chopped

Step 1
Heat oven to 350°F.
Step 2
Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Beat butter and sugar in large bowl with mixer until light and fluffy. Add eggs, 1 at a time, mixing well after each addition. Blend in milk and vanilla. Gradually add flour mixture, mixing well after each addition. Stir in chocolate.
Step 3
Pour into greased and floured 9x5-inch loaf pan.
Step 4
Bake 50 to 55 min. or until toothpick inserted in centre comes out clean. Cool in pan 15 min. Remove from pan to wire rack; cool completely.
